Generational Planning

Plan For Future Generations

Let us help you navigate generational planning.

Timely generational planning is crucial for both the benefactors and those inheriting the land in the future. When the time arrives, estate transitions can be emotional and sometimes come with unexpected obstacles if not properly planned. In addition, proper estate planning can help reduce and avoid unnecessary taxes. Ideally, estate planning is revisited and adjusted yearly to identify changes in tax and other legal requirements.

Our passion for generational planning derives from our rich history and the insights that we have developed over multiple generations. Transferring your farmland or ranch to the next generation can be challenging. We are here to help our clients navigate the complex process, which can include communication, legal and economic decisions.

Hagman Realty Generational Planning aims to:

Discuss legal, tax, and economic planning needs; and connect clients with experts, and consult with landowners and beneficiaries to ensure a smooth transition.

History, Heritage, Hageman

We want to share the Hageman story of faith, family, and farmland that began in Remington, Indiana in 1976. Our predecessors worked together, as a family, to acquire and improve farmland by creating drainage systems, improving soil fertility, and implementing new agronomic practices.

The business evolved from selling our own improved farmland, repeating the process, to later assisting others with selling and buying land. Throughout nearly 50 years our family has earned the trust of landowners and buyers in Indiana, Illinois, Wisconsin, Arkansas, and Texas. The rich history and insights our family has cultivated over four generations separate Hageman Realty from our competitors.

Our knowledge as farmland specialists, combined with our reputation and service, has enabled us to successfully market millions of dollars of farmland properties. We also specialize in Commercial, Transitional, and Recreational Land sales. We have confidence in our ability to successfully help every client through each step in the real estate sale and purchase process.

Testimonials

We value our relationships

"We were very pleased with our experiences in working with the Hageman Realty Team in the efforts to sell our Wolcott farm in 2018. The Hageman Team worked smoothly together with several potential local buyers and achieved a final result above the initial asking price. It was a wonderful joint effort between us (living in Florida) and their team based in Remington, Indiana."

"My experience with Hageman Realty goes back many, many years: to 1983 to be exact. Since that time, we have experienced together the many ups and downs in the ag market. Looking back gives me courage as we look ahead, working together to navigate this ever-changing landscape. With the Hageman Realty firm the next generation is in charge, as is the case in our farming operation. Sara, as her father did, brings the knowledge and compassion that I appreciate when striving to satisfy all involved with the management issues of farmland ownership."

"As a inexperienced land buyer Sara’s experience was very helpful in helping me find the type of property that best suited my needs. Sara also did a great job helping me negotiate a deal that worked well with my budget and did a lot of extra legwork that saved me valuable time. In the future no matter if I am buying or selling Sara will be my first call. Thanks for your timely and professional touch."

“When the decision was made to sell our family farm, we knew Hageman Realty was the company we would trust with such an important task. We met with the Hageman team to discuss the process and the options available to us. From the very beginning, their many years of experience and knowledge of the industry were evident. From listing to closing, they proactively took the time to ensure our family was kept updated on any developments throughout and was always available to answer questions we had. What could have been a confusing and frustrating process for our family, became a pleasurable one due to the professionalism and compassion of the team at Hageman Realty.”

"All persons involved in the experience were great. All my questions were answered promptly. I can't say enough about how easy the team made the process of purchasing property. I would not hesitate listing a property in the future with Hageman or purchasing through Amanda and the team. The closing gentleman at the Title Company was very nice and was great as well. I did not see anything in the process that would need improvement."

"It was an absolute pleasure working with the Hageman Realty Team. Their ability to sell our Senne Farm in the heart of winter 2023 was an amazing effort. Meeting with Broker, Amanda Andreoni, put a lot of our stress and confusion at ease. Amanda’s explanation of the timeline was exactly what she promised. From the signed listing, to the brochures being developed, and all the way to the offer/closing made it a smooth process. She and her team were always accessible whenever a question needed to be answered. We thank Hageman Realty and would recommend them to anyone who needed help selling Farmland. It’s evident this company and their associates come from an extensive Farming background."
